Krishna's 100th Film Alluri Seetarama Raju

'Andhra James Bond' Krishna is known for bringing innovation to Telugu cinema. His 100th film Alluri Seetarama Raju, produced under the prestigious and big banner of Padmalaya Pictures, too was the first of its kind. It was the first color film to be made in Cinemascope.
Released on May 01, 1974, the film had a mammoth starcast comprising of Krishna, Gummadi, Prabhakara Reddy, Kantha Rao, Chandramohan, Jaggaiah, Rao Gopala Rao, Allu Ramalingaiah, Tyagaraju, KV Chalam, Vijaya Nirmala, Rajasri, Jayanthi and Manjula, only possible in Krishna's films.
The Eastman color period film, which was both a critical favorite and box-office success, completed 100 days in 19 centres (direct-16, shift-3) and went on to celebrate its silver jubilee run at Sangam A/C, Hyderabad.
