Director Chandrashekar Yeleti is very popular amongst the class audience with his hit films like Aithe and Anukokunda Oka Roju. By tying up with a hero like Gopichand he has made up his mind to penetrate into all kinds of audience. Speaking about this film, director Chandrashekar Yeleti who is known for his off beat stories has said that, "Even this film has a very unique subject based on real life incidents but presented in a simple and straight manner without any twists and turns which will appeal to any type of audience whether class or mass. I for one do not really differentiate between class and mass audience. For me all the audiences are the same and I believe in presenting the film in a manner which finally will be appreciated by one and all. He further added that, "This unique subject of mine which I have worked on for the last one year is being presented in a manner which suits the image of Gopichand. This presentation should keep his fans happy and at the same time satisfy all kinds of audience. This is certainly going to be a commercial film". Gopichand is all excited with this film. He says, "After doing lot of analysis about my fan following and about the way my earlier films were received by various audience, I took a conscious decision that I should work with a director who can do my image a world of good amongst the class audience also. The end result was Okkadunadu with Chandrashekar Yeleti. I liked his earlier films and his presentation in those films was good. He is a wonderful technician. I am very happy with the progress so far and keenly awaiting the release of this film." Clap Entertainment is producing this film and this will be the first film under this banner. Chiranjeevi popularly known as Cheri is the Producer. Cheri has been associated with film industry for a long while as executive producer for various hit movies like Money, Anaganaga Oka Roju, Money Money, Gulabi, Chatrapathi and Vikramarkudu. With this successive hit track record he has decided that it is high time he produces films on his own and roped in this unique combination of director Chandrashekar Yeleti and hero Gopichand. He says, "I am very fortunate to have this combination of Gopichand and Chandrashekar Yeleti. I don’t have to say anything about their capabilities in their respective fields. They are performers to the core and highly dedicated to their work. I was very excited with the subject when Chandu narrated the same to me and I did not waste any time in deciding that this will be my first film as a full fledged producer. It has been my passion to do good films and I cannot ask for a better film than this to launch myself as a producer." He further added, "I am also very happy with the entire casting of the film. Director Chandu took extreme care in selecting the star cast as every character in the film plays a very prominent role and requires tremendous performance. Mahesh Manjrekar a well noted director and actor in Bollywood and Marathi, who has given terrific performance in films like Jindaa, Aankhen, Kaante, Mumbai Express, Jawani Diwani, etc., was choosen to do the main role of Villain. Nasser and Rahul Dev also play important negative roles. Apart from this, Suman, Bramhanadam, Raghubabu, Giribabu are doing very important roles in this film. Neha Jhulka is doing the heroine role. She is one of the top models in Mumbai doing lot of commercial Ads. She has also worked as heroine in a Hindi film "Kaissa Kahen" produced by Smitha Thackery which is due for release in Febraury 2007." Speaking about the progress of the film, he said, "Shooting of about 70% of the talkie part and 3 songs has been completed. The balance talkie part would be completed in this month and 2 songs will be shot in January in Spain or Hungary. Post production work has already commenced and we plan to release this film on Febrauary 9th." "The film was shot extensively in Mumbai in very rich locales and the action thrills are going to be the highlight of this film. For the first time we have 3 fight masters Allan Amin, Vijay and Ram-Lakshman contributing to the action episodes in the film. The film is being done with high standards of production values and the richness and the excellent quality would be very evident on the screen. Cameraman Jayakrishna Gummadi is doing an excellent job and is bound to give a visual treat to the audience."
