Sekhar Kammula's Happy Days bagged three awards: Best Film, Best Screenplay Writer and Best Director at the first ever FNCC Awards instituted by the Film Nagar Cultural Club. The awards were given away at a grand function held at FNCC in Hyderabad on December 31.
NTR was adjudged the Best Actor for his roles in Rakhee and Yamadonga, while Ram Charan is the Best Sensational Actor for his performance in the film Chirutha. Best Actress Award went to Genelia for her role in Dhee.
Chandamama produced by C. Kalyan won four awards, including Special Jury Award, Best Music Director (KM Radha Krishnan), Best Actor In A Supporting Role (Ahuti Prasad) and Best Actress In A Supporting Role (Sindhu Menon).
Operation Duryodhana won the award for the Best Script (Posani Krishna Murali), while Dhee got the Best Comedian award for Brahmanandam. Jagadam has fetched Ratnavelu the award for Best Cinematographer.
Dance performances by Nataraj and Co. (Veda, Poonam Bajwa, Poonam Kaur, Madhu Sharma, Tanu Roy, Sindhu Menon and Neetu) and mimicry performance by Siva Reddy were the highlights of the event.
