Raviteja and NayanataraProducer DVV Danayya is back with Dubai Seenu after a hugely successful Desamuduru. Srinu Vytla, fresh from a success too a.k.a. Dhee has teamed up with Ravi Teja for the second time, after Venky, which hit bulls-eye. Whether they will be second time lucky remains to be seen.

Ravi Teja meanwhile has not tasted success with his last flick Khatarnak, which failed to impress even the masses. With another mass-appealing title, Dubai Seenu stars Nayantara, looking svelte and cast alongside Ravi Teja for the first time. Mani Sharma's music combines with Ramajogaiah's lyrics. Read on.

Once Upon This song grows on you, if it immediately doesn't attract your attention. Karthik and Rita match the funkiness beat to beat. The chorus is enjoyable, in fact even better than the actual skeletal song. A good composition with weird lyrics-that appeal to the regular Cinegoer. ***.5

Diwali Holi This is a happy song. It's breezy from the word go, and singers Tippu, Karunya and Kausalya enthusiastically give the required appeal to it. Going beyong Idol, Karunya teams with the 'Item Team' Tippu and Kausalya, and three unique voices are what we get in this cheerful number. ***

Kol Kol The drums never stop to roll in Kol Kol. This slightly tongue twisting number has Ranjith and Saindhavi effortlessly adding more peppiness to the already lively beats. It's a fast number, danceable and spry. The soft rap and fusion interlude makes this song catchy. ***.25

Nayanatara and RavitejaSeenu Seenu This song begins with some excitement and a high. The rest of the song doesn't reach any new level, and stays slightly stagnant though. Naveen sounds good and remains consistent throughout this irregular composition. ***

Kanya Raasi Vijay Yesudas and Suchitra's sultry voice gives this sensual song some spark. The instrumental value of this song is very good too. Sure to sizzle on screen, this song sounds good with or without added eye-candy. ***.25

Suppanathi Ah, here we come. Trademark Ravi Teja! One can profoundly imagine it being written with the actor in mind. Remember 'College Papala' in Vikramarkudu? On similar lines, this one is with a 'Burrakatha' beginning and Dhol beats that propel this total mass number. Manikya Vinayagan (unique voice) and Anuradha Sriram (another item regular) seem comfortable with the crazy catchy lyrics. ***.5

Last Word This album in entirety is nothing stirring. For someone like Mani Sharma who gave us music like the unforgettable Kushi and the recent blockbuster Pokiri, Dubai Seenu doesn't reach that mark. Yet, it has songs that grow on you after repeated hearings. Not a disappointment really, as it does have a hummable number or two. But not the electrifying music we wait for either.
