Puri Jagannath's back, this time producing a movie. Hello Premistara stars his younger brother, Sairam Shankar and is directed by Raj Kumar. His old favorite Chakri is back to composing music for Puri Jagan's banner after a hugely successful Desamuduru. Read on.

Ninna Monna Not all songs suit Chakri's voice and this is one of the rare ones that do. Kandikonda pens in the lyrics describing the feelings of a smitten lover. This is trademark Chakri, right from the instrumental, the husky notes he renders and the chorus. This is the type of song that Chakri is good at, so the composition is worth listening to. Catchy, hummable and the pick of the album. ***

Shiela and Sairam ShankarEppudoo Leni Venu and Kousalya lend their voices to this melody, all about first love. The music in this song reminds one of fresh air and rain. Kousalya's voice is lovely in this song. The only romantic duet in the album, this song is good without being fussy. Just a simple, soft and happy duet. ***

Nee Peru Vintene This one starts off with a Himesh Reshammiya-worthy 'Ohhhhhhh' and reminds you of all the massy songs Chakri has been doling out from 'Choopulto Guchi Guchi' from Idiot. The music is distinctly Punjabi folk based and the lyrics by Kandikonda are quirky. Ravi Varma and Madhuri sound alright. Overall this sounds like one of those songs that people play again and again on loudspeakers to annoy the public. This might look and sound better on screen. **.25

Life Ante Travel Chakri's voice has some sort of a forced 'coolness' about it. One of those inspirational numbers which is a short art of living class rolled into less than 4 minutes. This actually grows on you as you keep listening, but one has to have the patience to endure it till that time. From Annamacharya's 'Brahmam Okate' to 'Kodithe Kottali' from Chiranjeevi starrer Tagore, we've had an overdose of these numbers. And no, this doesn't come in the top 10. **.25

Sairam ShankarDum Dum Dum This is the official Item song of the movie. The lyrics are slightly different from the usual item songs, though the conclusion is the same-'Orkut lo andagadu..'-you get the gist. For that it might garner some interest for some time along with Sai Shivani's voice. It's slightly better than the other folk based 'mass' song-Nee Peru Vintene, which has too-oft repeated feel to it. This is definitely the first item song about internet deception. **.5

Last Word Sometimes Chakri comes out with an Idiot or Desamuduru, which grow on you, especially after the movies strike gold. This is a Puri Jagan production, so 2-3 songs are bound to catch on post-release. Otherwise, the album in entirety is mediocre. Chakri's tunes sound repetitive now. With a mere 5 songs (Chirutha has 8, most albums have 6), this album is not one of Chakri's best. Not jarring or utterly bad, but we've still heard better stuff from Chakri-Vaishno Academy.
