Kalidasu introduces Sushanth, one of Nagarjuna's nephews along with Tamanna (Of Happy Days fame). Chakri's music has nothing remotely interesting or good to offer. The best that can be said about two of the numbers is the energy level in it, and both the start and end of the album have the potential to be something better than they are. The name Kalidasu is apparently not extended to the protagonist's poetic abilities.

Hey Baby Hey Baby Chakri starts off the album crooning Hey Baby Hey Baby along with Kousalya. It's a duet written by Chandrabose that get quirkier by the second stanza; it's all about togetherness from one being 'buggallo sotta' and the other being 'chatullo geeta'. The song is medium-paced with rhythmic drum-beats throughout in the background. An average number at best, especially since Chakri's vocals don't exactly suit this number; but then that's just one perspective on it. **.75

Tamanna and SushanthThadisi Mopedu Anuradha Sriram starts the song in her distinctive voice. Ravivarma gives her company, to complete what is definitely an Item Number. And definitely in the Top 100 Telugu Item Numbers of this year. **1/2

Ellake Ellake The rustic tone picks up from the word go, with a very different version of praise bestowed by the guy on the girl (courtesy Chandrabose again). Vasu and Geetha Madhuri render this duet with much gusto. It's a mischievous and energetic number, the sort Chakri specializes in (from Choopultho in Idiot to present). **.75

Prema (Okasari Karam) So, 'Okasari Teepi Okasari Karam Kalisosthe Prema'. Point noted. Chakri and Kousalya comeback with the (inferior) playback again, with what is hopefully a background (that way it won't be continuous). Not one of Chakri-Chandrabose's better numbers. There are some numbers that suit Chakri, and Kousalya is usually more than capable, but the playback in this song is plain irritating-the more you listen. *.75

Pada Padarey A solo by Devan. Simple but sweet lyrics by Chandrabose that describe the various wonders of nature that are all ours. Nice enough, albeit highly forgettable. **.25

Cheemalemo Chakkara Chandrabose pens in simple situational lines that go 'Cheemalemo Chakkara Chori..Cheyaka Tappadu..'. Baba Sehgal, after the much liked title song in Jalsa, sings in Telugu again for Chakri. The rap is juvenile but the rest of the song is not bad. **.75

Sushanth and TamannaLast Word There are some lovely songs that Chakri has composed in his career. With Puri-Chakri combinations, especially, one has learnt to expect at least two catchy numbers. Now either we find it surprising when he does a good job, or get disappointed when he doesn't. It's up to how much you like or don't like his music, what kind of music you like and who your faves are. But one thing is sure, whatever one's tastes, it's difficult to like Kalidasu's music for it's mediocre to the last degree.
