Ontari stars Gopichand and Bhavana with music by Mani Sharma. Ararey Yemaindi, Cheppalanundhi and O Maare O Maare stand out in the 5 song album, with an additional Slokam. Ontari has good music, nothing outstanding, but a decent compilation. Now one has to wait and watch out if the movie justifies the music.

Ararey Yemaindi A lovely romantic duet with good vocals courtesy Hemachandra and Malavika. It sounds like it could easily be a hip-hop number except for the Telugu lyrics. Everything works for the number, from the instrumental especially the strings, and the vocals and the simple lines penned by Ramajogaiah Sastry. A sure winner. ***1/2

Bhavana and GopichandCheppalanundhi SP Charan renders this song about getting jittery trying to tell the girl his feelings, with Kalpana giving him company. Another sweet number with the same lyricist as above. This has that warm 'Telugu' touch to it, and is very easy on the ears. The tune is catchy and the instrumental is kept simple to give prominence to the lyrics. ***.25

Vaare Vaare Vaare A solo with Naveen at the playback. The pretext of this number is on the lines of 'Devuda' from Pokiri, also rendered by Naveen. The instrumental towards the end is good, as is the aptly used chorus. Bashasri penned the lines that focus on rhythm. ***

Nee Jimmada A whole song on the curse/swear word, complete with a chorus that goes 'Nee Jimmada'. The feel of the number tends towards folk. The song has an element of mischief and cheekiness to it. **.75

Gopichand and BhavanaO Maare O Maare The high-energy beats that the song begins with spells Mass. Ranjith and Anuradha Sriram lend their voices to this pre-wedding song. This could qualify as a dance number with its liveliness quotient high. ***

Lakshmi Ksheera Samudra After Happy Days, another album featuring a Slokam. Usha renders this devotional poem beautifully.

Last Word A good album in entirety, Ontari has hummable numbers. The movie has to live up to the music, for the latter to get more popular though. Ontari is perhaps not in Sharma's best, but is not disappointing at all.
