Victory Music Review - Good Enough

The talking point for Victory till the music release were Nitin's newly toned abdominal muscles, in other words, his six pack abs. After the music release, that will still be pretty much the talking point till the movie releases. Chakri doesn't exactly over-exert himself and the music of Victory is strictly not bad, with two decent numbers, two hardcore copies and two average songs. Overall, the compilation is good enough to not let the movie down.

Sainikulai Kadilare After a long time, a song from Chakri that doesn't sound like someone throwing a tantrum is clanging something on the floor. Come to think of it, maybe the musician was indeed having a tantrum of sorts. Be that as it is, Ranjith starts the album with this track about the protagonist obviously, so popular these days. It's a cool number and a good start to the album. ***.25

Nitin and Mamta Mohandas

Premanedi Manasu X-ray Premanedi a whole lot of things. So says Chandrabose, in this conversational number rendered by Karthik and Kausalya. The boy holds a negative/neutral view and the girl is trying to sell him the concept of love. Not bad. **.75

Jenniferla Vunnavantu After two decent numbers, you wonder why you haven't heard a copy yet (time turns believers into sceptics). Bunty Aur Babli's title track is lifted for another situational and conversational number that goes slow as the original. This has about 10 people at the playback including Duvvasi Mohan.

Nitin is uninterested in Mamta Mohandas who is making a beeline for his attention-that is the jist of the song with a host of other characters chipping in with their two cents. The best that can be said is that it's an okay copy of a good song. **.75

O Bachelor 'All that she wants'. Another copy. Really interesting playback-Zubeen Garg and Sunidhi Chauhan. Really tiring to listen if you know/like the original. Really tiring to have one copy after another just when you think Chakri's getting out of his tantrum. **.25

Shashank and Nitin

Sunlejara Paghal Hai Kya Naveen and Mamta Mohandas render this number, with lyrics by Kaluva Krishna Sai about a girl trying to seduce her reluctant love interest. Good playback, interesting number. ***

Maine Tumse Pyar Kiya Ravivarma and Kausalya render this happy and peppy number about love found. This can be called a typical Chakri number, but not amongst his best. Just some Hindi lyrics and repeated words, a little rap for good measure. **.75
