The much-anticipated music of Maharshi Cinema's 'Ashok' was released in a grand function held at Kotla Vijaya Bhaskar Reddy Stadium, Yousufguda, Hyderabad on Thursday, June 8.

Present at the occasion was an entire cast and crew of the movie that included NTR, Sameera Reddy, producer Valluripalli Ramesh, director Surender Reddy, music director Mani Sharma, editor Goutham Raju, lyricists Bhaskarabhatla Ravikumar and Chandrabose, singer Hemachandra, Krishna Bhagawan, Venu Madhav and Kondavalasa.

NTR officially released the music and Sameera Reddy received the first cassette.

Earlier, guests of the evening-K. Raghavendra Rao, B. Gopal, VV Vinayak, YVS Chowdary and Surender Reddy released a song each, while KL Narayana, Sureshbabu, Maganti Babu, Aswini Dutt, EVV and Dil Raju jointly released the sixth song.

Also present were ML Kumar Chowdary, 'Sreemitra' Anjibabu, Arjuna Raju, KC Sekhar Babu, S. Gopala Reddy, C. Kalyan and Dayanand (of Aditya Music), amongst others.

Aditya Music has acquired the music rights of the film. Suma anchored the event.
