The muhurat shot of director Surya Kiran's next film starring Jagapathi Babu in the lead roles was held on Sunday, February 12 at Prasad Labs. The day also marks the birthday of Jagapathi Babu. The film is titled 'Brahmastram - the ultimate weapon'. Made under the banner of SP Creations, the film is produced by N. Surya Prakasa Rao with music by the trio 'Vaibhava' - Balu, Vedant and Ananth.

K. Keshava Rao, APCC President, sounded the clapper-board, while G. Adiseshagiri Rao switched on the camera and VB Rajendra Prasad directed the first shot. KVP Ramachandra Rao, adviser (Public Affairs) to the Government, performed pooja. A press meet was organised on this occasion.

Producer N. Suryaprakash rao said "Jagapathibabu has a tailor-made role that suits him like a glove. The regular shooting will commence from February 15 and will be shot in a single schedule." He plans to shoot the songs in the scenic locations of London and to release the film in the last week of April or in the first week of May.

Jagapathibabu said, "This day can be described as my career-best birthday. I liked the way the director narrated the script to me. I am very happy to work with a good production house."

Director Surya Kiran said, "All the characters in the film have their own importance and none can be taken out of the film's story like a curry leaf. The movie is action-oriented with a mother sentiment."
