Chatrapati Audio CD Release Function
The audio CD of 'Chatrapati' was officially released on the morning of 22nd September, 2005 at Ramanaidu Studios, Hyderabad. Produced by BVSN Prasad, under the banner of Sri Venkateswara Cine Chitra, 'Chatrapati' is directed by SS Rajamouli. The movie has music by MM Keeravani. As the film has mother sentiment as its central theme, the audio CDs were released by mothers of the cast and crew.
Prabhas, Keeravani, Rajamouli, BVSN Prasad, Suryanarayana Raju, Dil Raju, ML Kumar Chowdary, M Satyanarayana Reddy, Gemini Kiran and Sunku Rameshbabu were present at the event. Vijayalakshmi (wife of producer BVSN Prasad), Sivakumari (mother of Prabhas), Radha (mother-in-law of Keeravani), Rajanandini (mother of director Rajamouli) and Srivalli (sister-in-law of Rajamouli) did the honors of releasing the audio CD of the film.
Speaking on the occasion, Dil Raju said, "I watched the song 'A vacchi B pai valenu'. Prabhas has danced well. It reminded me of the 'Cheema cheema' song in 'Simhadri'. I hope the film does well."
ML Kumar Chowdary said, "The combination of Rajamouli and Keeravani have delivered several musical hits earlier. I hope this film turns out to be a musical hit as well."
Keeravani said, "I sang the song 'A vacchi B pai valenu'. It may sound silly but there is a hidden meaning behind the song."
Rajamouli preferred to be silent. Prabhas expressed his happiness over the presence of his mother at the function and thanked Keeravani for the wonderful score.
Also present at the occasion were Pavan (of Maruthi Music), Vijayendra Prasad (father of Rajamouli), Ratnam, cinematographer Senthil Kumar, art director Ravindar, Kalyani Malik, Peter Hein and Shafi. Maruthi Music has acquired the music rights of the film.
