The shooting of Srihari's 'Hanumanthu' is progressing at a fast pace and the film is slated for release in the first week of May 2006. A press meet was arranged to highlight the progress of the film on Tuesday, March 28 at Annapoorna Studios, Hyderabad.

Speaking on the occasion, Srihari said, "Hanumanthu is almost 75% complete now and the music of the film will be released in April 2006. There are five important characters in the film. One is played by me and the others are played by KR Vijaya, Vijaya Chander, Pradeep Rawat and another actor - the name of which I wouldn't reveal now."

KR Vijaya said, "My character is close to real life. I am playing Srihari's grandmother."

Vijaya Chander said, "I am playing a pivotal role in the film. My character is a challenge for any artiste."

Madhu Sharma (she surprised everyone by speaking in Telugu), Pradeep Rawat and director Chandra Mahesh also spoke on the occasion.

Made under the banner of Sri Chalana Chitra, the film is produced by Shantha Kumari with music by Vandemataram and cinematography by Adusumilli Vijay Kumar.
