Annapurna Studios, Hyderabad saw the muhurat of Bollineni Creations 'Laila Majnu', directed by Anji Srinu and produced by Bollineni Suresh Naidu. Hari Varun, a close relative of Srihari, makes his debut as a hero with this film.

Starring debutante Jyothi Krishna as the female lead, the muhurat shot (featuring Harivarun and Jyothi Krishna) was directed by EVV Satyanarayana. The clap was sounded by Srihari, while the camera was switched on by Bollineni Krishnama Naidu. The film has music by MM Srilekha.

Following was the muhurat dialogue - "Memiddaram premikulam. Mee asissulu maaku kavali."

Speaking on the occasion, Bollineni Suresh Naidu said, "Recording of three songs is complete. We have the complete script in hand. I hope we will come up with a good film."

Srihari said, "I have listened to the story. It is a different love story and I feel the title suits the content of the film. I think Anji Srinu has a huge responsibility, as it is a director's film."

Anji Srinu said, "This is my third film as a director. I've worked on the script for eight months. I will do complete justice to the job."

Executive Producer Tummala Srinivasa Rao said, "The film will be shot in two schedules. A 45-day schedule will begin from November 17 (today). Three songs and a number of scenes are being filmed in this stint. Three more songs will be shot abroad."

Raghutu Satyanarayana said, "I've earlier produced 'Sivaji' and 'Orey Tammudu' with Srihari. This is my third film as a producer. Harivarun is my son. I hope he succeeds."

Harivarun said, "My uncle Srihari is my inspiration. I want to prove myself, and stand on my own feet."

Jyothi Krishna said, "I hail from Bangalore. The film will appeal to the younger generation."
