Sri Lakshmi Prasanna Pictures' Prod. No. 47, a remake of the Tamil hit Chitiram Pesutadhi, was launched in a grand way on Thursday, December 7, 2006. K. Raghavendra Rao sounded the clap on Manoj, while Nandamuri Balakrishna switched on the camera and SS Rajamouli directed the muhurat shot.

Also present were Nagarjuna, Raja Vannem Reddy, Shekhar Suri, B. Gopal, Chalasani Ramesh, D. Ramanaidu, Muthyala Subbaiah, Gemini Kiran, D. Sureshbabu, Srinu Vytla, Dasarath, Ram Prasad and Kalyani.

Produced by Mohanbabu and directed by Sooriya Kiran, the film has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja, action by Ram-Lakshman, cinematography by Prasad Murella, dialogues by M. Ratnam, art by Ashokkumar and editing by Goutham Raju. It is slated for a April 2007 release. Miskin, the writer-director of the original version, has been credited with the story of the film.
