The muhurat shot of SV Krishna Reddy's next film 'Mayajalam' eventuated on Saturday, January 14. 'A thrill beyond the life' says the movie tagline. Dasari Narayana Rao sounded the clapper-board for the first shot, which was filmed on Srikanth. Industrialist Girish Sanghi switched on the camera, while CC Reddy, chairman of the Visu group of companies, directed the first shot.

Following was the muhurat dialogue -

"Pellillu swargamlo nirnayinchabadatayantaru...
Aa pelli erpatlu matram maa mayajalam marriage bureau lo jarugutayi"

Speaking on the occasion, SV Krishna Reddy said, "The film is produced by Venkat (of RR Movie Makers) who earlier produced 'Hungama'. It will be presented in a novel way and will be a complete entertainer. It is an expensive film when compared to all my earlier films."

Srikanth said, "I am glad that I am beginning this year with 'Mayajalam'. Janardhana Maharshi has come up with a good storyline that has not been touched earlier."

K. Atchi Reddy said, "The regular shooting will commence from February 9. We are planning for a May 2006 release."

The day also marked the 53rd birthday of presenter K. Atchi Reddy and the completion of ace comedian Venu Madhav's ten years of film career.
