Modati Cinema Audio Release Function
The audio of Navdeep-Poonam starrer 'Modati Cinema' was officially released on the night of 29th September, 2005 at Jayabheri Club, Madhapur, Hyderabad. Made under the banner of Abhisatwika Creations, the film is produced by Kunduru Ramana Reddy and directed by debutant Kuchipudi Venkat and has music by Swaraj. Aditya Music has acquired the music rights of the film.
The lead pair of the film - Navdeep and Poonam - anchored the programme. Also present at the function were prominent personalities like Gunnam Gangaraju, Rasool and Neelakanta. Sirivennela Sitarama Sastry, who wrote the lyrics for the film, released the music. YV Subbareddy, an industrialist, bought the first cassette for Rs. 2000. Four songs from the film were screened for the media on this occasion.
Gunnam Gangaraju, who released the first song, said, "Sirivennela is my close friend. I dont have to say much about his songs. His words are like songs to us. I hope the film works well."
Neelakanta, who released the second song, said, "When director Kuchipudi Venkat narrated the story to me (around four years ago) I told him that it is an appealing story. I hope it turns out to be a musical hit."
"I have heard all the songs from the album. Swaraj has scored good music," said Rasool after releasing the third song.
Swaraj expressed his happiness over making his debut as a music director with this film and thanked the producer and director for giving him the opportunity. Sirivennela wished the film's unit all the best in his own inimitable style.
