The music of GK Film Corporation's 'Pogaru' (the dubbed version of the Tamil hit Thimiru) was released on Sunday, October 08 at Hotel Fortune Katriya, Raj Bhavan Road, Hyderabad. Presented by Vikram Krishna, the film has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja and lyrics by Vennelakanti, Sahithi, Kandikonda and Bharathibabu.

The chief guest of the evening, noted music director RP Patnaik, officially released the music. Later in his address, RP Patnaik said, "Having tasted success in the form of 'Pandem Kodi', its time now for Vishal to act in a straight Telugu film." He praised the marketing skills of Vikram Krishna, elder brother to Vishal and producer of the film.

Vennelakanti said, "GK Reddy should be proud of his sons-Vishal and Vikram Krishna-as they succeeded in their respective fields." He added that he was proud of his own son Shashank Vennelakanti-who penned the dialogues of the film.

The music is being marketed by Aditya Music. Raghu Kunche anchored the event. Also present were Smitha, Sriya Reddy-one of the female leads, Navneet Kaur, Kamna Jethamalani and Dayanand (of Aditya Music).

Written-directed by newcomer Tharun Gopi, 'Pogaru' has cinematography by Priyan.
