The triple platinum disc function of maverick film-maker Ram Gopal Varma's latest venture 'Shock' was held on 4 February, 2006 at Hotel Taj Krishna in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad. K. Raghavendra Rao and Rajamouli jointly gave away the mementoes to the unit members. The event gained significance in the wake of a court notice issued by RGV disassociating Suresh Kondeti from the film. But by the end of the event things cooled down and the misunderstanding was sorted out.

Present at the occasion was an entire cast and crew of the movie that included Manmohan Shetty (of Entertainment One), director Harish Shankar, producers Ram Gopal Varma & Suresh Kondeti, Ravi Teja, Raja Ravindra, Kashmira Shah, writer Kona Venkat and music directors Ajay-Atul. Also spotted were Suresh Babu, Anil, Ramesh Prasad, Gemini Kiran, Ravi Babu, Puri Jagannath, Srinu Vytla, ML Kumar Chowdary, Gangaraju Gunnam, Rasool Ellore, KL Narayana, S. Gopal Reddy, Uday Kiran, Allu Aravind, Dil Raju and Umesh Gupta (of Aditya Music).
