Stills		Home > Gallery > Events > Vennela Press Meet Vennela Press Meet The press meet of 'Vennela' was held at the Film Chamber in Hyderabad on the evening of September 8th, 2005. Deva Katta, Parvati Melton, Raja, Ravi Varma, Sharwanand and Raja Ratnam graced the occasion. Produced under the banner of Fourth Dimension films, the film is jointly produced by Chalapathi Mannuru, Ravi Vallabhaneni and Sachi Pinagapani and directed by Deva Katta. The film starring Raja, Parvati Melton, Sharwanand and Ravi Varma in the lead roles has music by Mahesh Shankar. Speaking on the occasion, Deva Katta said, "Vennela is the story of a few young guys, all of whom hail from Andhra, studying in the US. It is based on true-life incidents. The first schedule of the film was shot entirely in the US and shooting for the second schedule is currently under progress in Hyderabad. The entire shooting will be wrapped by October 7th." Raja said, "We are working together as a team. The film is coming out well. Cinematography is by Raja Ratnam of 'In The Name Of Buddha' fame." Parvati Melton said, "I am thankful to the producers and director for giving me such a wonderful role. I hail from California. I have appeared in a few Hindi and Punjabi music videos as a model. I am very excited about the film." Chalapathi Mannuru, Sharwanand and Ravi Varma also spoke on the occasion.
