Stalin's Current Schedule Ends On August 5

The current schedule of megastar Chiranjeevi's much-anticipated film 'Stalin,' co-starring Trisha, will end by August 5. Manisharma is scoring the music for the film and the picturisation is in progress in and around Hyderabad. Two songs are yet to be filmed. Made under the banner of Anjana Productions, it is produced by K. Nagendra Babu, directed by AR Murugadoss and is slated for a September 20 release.

Boss's Final Schedule From August 3

The final schedule of Kamakshi Movies' 'Boss-I Love You,' starring Nagarjuna, Nayanatara and Poonam Bajwa in the lead, will be held from August 3 to September 7. Produced by D. Sivaprasad Reddy and directed by VN Aditya, it has music by Kalyani Malik. Shriya features in a guest role in the film, which is slated for a September 27 release.

NBK's Next Is 75% Complete

Sri Lalitha Kalanjali Productions' Prod. No. 9, starring NBK, Meera Jasmine, Sneha and Navneet Kaur in the lead, is 75% complete. The final schedule of the film, directed by P. Vasu and produced by Vakada Apparao, will be held from August 9 to September 1. After this schedule, the entire shooting will be complete, barring a song and a fight sequence. Noted Kannada music director Guru Kiran is making his debut in Telugu with the film.

'Hanuman' Music On August 1

The music of the Telugu dubbed version of the animated mythological flick 'Hanuman' will be released at State Art Gallery, Madhapur, Hyderabad, on August 1 through Times Music, while the film is scheduled for August 4 release. Allu Arjun, chief guest at the music launch, will do the honors. Megastar Chiranjeevi has lent his voice for the animated character-Hanuman. A Hyderabad Innovatives Film, the film is directed by VG Samant, produced by Challa Manmohan and presented by Sharrath Marar with lyrics by Veturi and dialogues by Mullapudi Venkataramana.

'Swapnam' To Release In Late August

Madamanchi Creations' Production No. 1, starring Saikiran, Jayathi ('Aditya TV' anchor) and Jackie in lead roles, has been titled 'Swapnam - Nijam Aithe...!'. The music of the film will be released on August 5 through Supreme Music, while the film is slated for a late August release. Produced by Madamanchi Srinivas and directed by Balaji Rao, it has music by Gopi, story by Nagaraj, dialogues by Shouri, lyrics by Shashank Vennelakanti, cinematography by K. Rajasekhar and editing by Sai Ramesh.

Interesting Game On 'Hanuman'

As part of the innovative promotion strategy of the film Hanuman - Jai Bajarangabali, the official website of the film
http://www.megahanuman.com/ has an interesting game on Hanuman. In this game the little Hanuman has to collect 15 golden apples without bouncing into flying boulders to reveal a hidden link. By playing this game the browsers can access hidden links which will provide additional information about the film and also takes them to the sections which provide wallpaper downloads and viewing of trailers.

RGV's 'Shiva 2006' To Release On August 25

The music of RGV Film Factory's 'Shiva 2006,' starring Mohit Ahlawat and Nisha Kothari in the lead, will be released in the second week of August, while the film is scheduled to hit the theatres on August 25th. Directed by Ramgopal Varma himself, the film has music by maestro Ilayaraja, action by Ram-Lakshman, cinematography by Amal Neerad, dialogues by Kona Venkat and lyrics by Sirivennela Seetarama Sastry.

'Policule Nerasthulaithe' reads the controversial tagline of the film and you know what to expect from this flick. After seventeen long years, RGV and Ilayaraja will be coming together for the film. The maverick filmmaker and the veteran composer have earlier worked together in RGV's debut film Shiva (1989), which rewrote the art of filmmaking.

Maa Iddari Madhya LogoTalkie Part Of 'Maa Iddari Madhya' Complete

Barring two songs, the entire shooting of SP Entertainments Pvt. Ltd.'s 'Maa Iddari Madhya' is complete and the film is slated for a late August release. Currently an item song is being picturised at Padmalaya Studios on Bharat and Simran Khan under the supervision of choreographer Anthony. The unit will now move to Bangkok on August 7 and the remaining songs will be shot there. Directed by Maddineni Ramesh and produced by Venkata Shyam Prasad, it has music by RP Patnaik, cinematography by Anjan, dialogues by Vijay and lyrics by Chaitanya Prasad.

'Adavi Biddalu' To Release On August 11

Sneha Chitra Pictures' controversial film 'Adavi Biddalu' is finally ready to hit the theatres on August 11th, after issues with the Censor Board. This was announced by actor, producer and director of the film-R. Narayana Murthy. "The Censor Board has objected to a few scenes but it cleared the film after the changes/cuts demanded by the Censor Board has been submitted to them. All the characters in the film are played by real-life Adivasis," said the multi-talented actor.

Vishnu'Game' - A Remake Of 'Taxi No. 9211'

There are strong indications that Sree Lakshmi Prasanna Pictures' latest venture 'Game' is a remake of the Bollywood hit 'Taxi No. 9211,' directed by Milan Luthria. Mohanbabu, Vishnu, Sobhana and Parvati Melton play the roles played by Nana Patekar, John Abraham, Sonali Kulkarni and Sameera Reddy in the original.

The music of the film was released today at the hands of Goutham Raju at a function held at State Art Gallery, Madhapur, Hyderabad through Madhura Entertainment. Directed by G. Ramprasad, presented by Manchu Manojkumar and produced by Mohanbabu, 'Game' has music by Joshua Sridhar, dialogues by Marudhuri Raja, cinematography by Bala Murugan, art by Venkateswara Rao, editing by Goutham Raju, choreography by Ganesh Acharya and action by Ram-Lakshman. It is slated for a August 4 release.

It is not the first time that Mohanbabu is remaking a Nana Patekar-starrer in Telugu. His 'Punya Bhoomi Naa Desam,' co-starring Meena, was a remake of the tremendously successful Bollywood film 'Krantiveer,' starring Nana Patekar and Dimple Kapadia.

Nayanatara Paired Opposite Venkatesh

Noted producer D. Sureshbabu has signed Nayanatara to play the female lead opposite Venkatesh in his next film, to be directed by Boyapati Srinu. To be produced by the prestigious Suresh Productions banner, the makers are planning to commence shooting in the second week of August 2006 and release it by Sankranthi 2007. While on Venkatesh and Nayanatara, the duo have earlier starred together in this year's runaway hit 'Lakshmi'.

'Bommarillu' Postponed To August 9

Sri Venkateswara Creations' 'Bommarillu,' starring Siddharth and Genelia in lead roles, has been postponed to Wednesday, August 9. The film was supposed to hit the screens on August 5, which marks the birthday of Genelia. Produced by Dil Raju, presented by Smt. Anitha and directed by debutante Bhaskar, it has music by Devisri Prasad, dialogues by Abburi Ravi, art by AS Prakash, cinematography by Vijay K. Chakravarthy and editing by Marthand K. Venkatesh.

Puri Jagannath'Desa Muduru' To Release On December 22

Producer-director Puri Jagannath, who is on a high after the super success of the Maheshbabu-Ileana starrer 'Pokiri,' is planning to commence shooting of his latest venture 'Desa Muduru' on July 28. To be produced by DVV Danaiah under the banner of Universal Media, the film will have music by Chakri, action by Vijayan, cinematography by Shyam K. Naidu and editing by Marthand K. Venkatesh. It is scheduled for a December 22 release.

While on 'Pokiri,' the blockbuster is heading towards a 100-day run in about 200 centers all over India. The film, which completes 100 days on August 5, is all set to become the highest grosser in the history of Telugu cinema.

Srikanth-Vadde Naveen Together Again

Srikanth and Vadde Naveen have starred together in EVV Satyanarayana's 'Chala Bagundhi' (2000). But now, after a gap of close to six years, the duo will be seen together again in director R. Suresh Varma's forthcoming film, to be produced by Y. Suresh under the banner of Vishwak Movies. Sridevi will play the female lead. The film will be launched with a muhurat on August 4 and will be shot in a single schedule. It will have music by Chakri, dialogues by Marudhuri Raja, editing by Goutham Raju, art by Srinivasa Raju and cinematography by Bhupathi.

For starters, Suresh Varma had earlier directed films such as Sivayya, Manasichchi Choodu, Subbu and Sambhu.

'Roommates' Audio CD Launched

The audio CD of noted music director Mani Sharma's 100th film 'Roommates' was released at a function held at the residence of presenter CC Reddy on Monday, July 24 through Madhura Entertainment. Present on the occasion were the lead cast of the film-Allari Naresh, Baladitya, Srinivasa Reddy, Suman Shetty, Naresh, Navneet Kaur and Samyogitha, director AVS, producer Dr. Y. Sonia Reddy, presenter CC Reddy, cinematographer V. Srinivasa Reddy, Sridhar Reddy (of Madhura Entertainment) and executive producer Mandava Gopalakrishna.

Naresh released the audio CD and handed over the first copy to 'Allari' Naresh. Earlier, a
video clip featuring responses of various senior filmmakers-B. Gopal, Relangi Narasimha Rao, Sagar, Muralimohan, Tammareddy Bharadwaja, N. Shankar, EVV, SV Krishna Reddy and Atchi Reddy-on the music of the film was played to the media.

Vishnu and Parvati Melton'Game' Music On July 27

The music of Sri Lakshmi Prasanna Pictures' latest venture 'Game,' starring Mohanbabu, Sobhana, Vishnu and Parvati Melton in the lead, will be released on Thursday, July 27 through Madhura Entertainment, while the film is scheduled for a August 4 release.

Produced by Mohanbabu, presented by Manojkumar and directed by Ram Prasad, it has music by Joshua Sridhar, dialogues by Marudhuri Raja, editing by Goutham Raju and cinematography by Bala Murugan.

Puri Jagan-NTR Together Again

Undeterred by the non-performance of 'Andhrawala', produced by Giri, Puri Jagannath and NTR are working together in another project, which will be produced by Puri Jagan, himself under the banner of Vaishno Academy. The film will go on floors after NTR completes his current assignments-Raakhi with Krishna Vamsee and a film with SS Rajamouli, to be produced by the Viswamitra Creations banner.

Lawrence-Nagarjuna Together Again?

The grapevine is abuzz with the news that actor-producer 'Yuvasamrat' Akkineni Nagarjuna and choreographer-turned-director Lawrence are coming together again after the 2004 hit 'Mass'. Trustworthy sources inform us that work will commence once Nagarjuna's current project 'Boss-I Love You,' co-starring Nayanatara and Poonam Bajwa, directed by VN Aditya and produced by D. Siva Prasad Reddy, is released.

While on 'Boss,' Shriya is playing a cameo in the film, the unit of which is currently shooting round-the-clock in Malaysia. Two songs and a few scenes are being picturised in this schedule. It has music by Kalyani Malik.

Chitra's Cameo In Gopichand's Next

Playback singers turning actors is not new to Tollywood. Ghantasala, SP Balu, Sailaja and Ramakrishna are only a few examples. Now it is the turn of noted playback singer Chitra to follow suit. She will be seen in a guest role in Gopichand's next film, directed by Uday Shankar and produced by GVG Raju under the banner of SSC Arts. It has Meera Jasmine and Ankitha playing the female leads.

MaheshbabuMahesh Babu-Surender Reddy Combo Titled 'Athidhi'

Most of you must be aware that director Surender Reddy has been signed by G. Rameshbabu to direct a film for Krishna Productions, which will star 'Prince' Maheshbabu in the lead. The news is that the film has been titled 'Athidhi'.

Maheshbabu is currently working on Gunasekhar's 'Sainikudu'. Co-starring Trisha and Bollywood actor Irfan Khan, it is produced by Aswini Dutt and has music by Harris Jayaraj.

Chandrasekhar Yeleti To Direct Gopichand In VMC's Next

It is reliably learnt that noted producer-cum-distributor Doraswamy Raju (of VMC banner) has signed Chandrasekhar Yeleti (of 'Aithe' and 'Anukokunda Oka Roju' fame) to direct his next film, which will star Gopichand in the lead. Gopichand liked the script and has okayed it in principle, sources inform us. Work will commence once Gopichand's current project, co-starring Meera Jasmine and directed by Uday Shankar, is released.

While on Gopichand, producer Nallamalupu Srinivas (Bujji), who produced the recent Venkatesh-Nayanatara-Charmme starrer Lakshmi, has signed him to play the lead in his next film to be directed by debutante Vasu.

Anjala Zaveri Makes A Comeback

Anjala Zaveri, who was last in the Rajasekhar starrer Apthudu (2004), is all set to make a comeback in Tollywood after a brief hiatus. She has been signed to play the female lead opposite Malayalam actor Prithviraj (his first film in Telugu) by new producers J. Ravikiran and A. Maheshkumar. The shooting for the film commenced today.

Made under the banner of Swan Creations, the film is directed by Bharat Bhushan with music by Mani Sharma, lyrics-dialogues by Chaitanya Prasad, editing by Sreekar Prasad and cinematography by Suneel K. Reddy.

'Andala Ramudu' Music On July 27

The music of the much-delayed Suneel-Aarti Agarwal starrer 'Andala Ramudu,' will be released on July 27, while the film is scheduled for a August 11 release. Jointly produced by NV Prasad and Paras Jain under the banner of Mega Supergood Films Pvt. Ltd., it is presented by RB Chowdary and directed by debutante P. Lakshmi Narayana (Deepthi).

'Andala Ramudu' has music by SA Rajkumar, story by Livingston, dialogues by Ramesh-Gopi, editing by Nandamuri Hari, action by Nandu and cinematography by Sameer Reddy. It is a remake of the Tamil hit 'Sundara Purushan'.

AsinAsin Opposite Siddhartha In 'Aata'

Ace producer MS Raju has signed Asin to play the female lead opposite Siddhartha in Aata. The actress, who till recently was seen more in ad films than feature films, is currently acting in the Tamil remake of the Telugu blockbuster 'Pokiri,' co-starring Vijay and directed by Prabhudeva.

Devisri Prasad, who had composed the music for Sumanth Art Productions' Varsham, NVNV and Pournami, will score the music of Aata as well. To be directed by Harish Shankar, whose debut film 'Shock' proved a disaster at the box-office, the shooting will commence from September 2006.

While on MS Raju, the grapevine is abuzz with the speculation that he has signed Teja to direct his son Sumanth.

Bharat's Next Titled 'Maa Iddari Madhya'

SP Entertainments Pvt. Ltd.'s next project has been titled 'Maa Iddari Madhya'. Directed by debutante Maddineni Ramesh and produced by Venkata Shyam Prasad, the film stars Bharat and Vidisha (of 'Ala' fame) in lead roles. It has music by RP Patnaik and cinematography by Anjan. The film is slated for a August 18 release.

Sindhura Gadde Makes Her Bollywood Debut

The reigning Miss India Sindhura Gadde, who has worked as a news-reader and reporter for 'Flip Side News' for New Zealand Television, will make her Bollywood debut with a film titled 'Zoom' to be directed by debutante Swetha (veteran producer B. Subhash's daughter). To be produced by B. Subhash himself, the film will have music by his favorite Bappi Lahiri. Aziz (of 'Uff Kya Jadoo Mohabbat Hai' fame) will play the male lead.

For starters, B. Subhash had earlier produced blockbusters like Disco Dancer and Dance Dance.

Polygon Motion Pictures Pvt. Ltd.'s debut venture, starring Sumanth and Charmme in lead roles, may be titled 'Chinnodu,' sources inform us. Directed by Kanmani (of 'Naa Oopiri' fame), it is jointly produced by Katragadda Lokesh and CV Srikanth with music by Ramana Gogula, dialogues by Yalamanchili Sridhar, cinematography by Jaswant and art by B. Sharwanand and Gopika'Veedhi' Music On July 20

The music of prestigious production house Ushakiron Movies' Prod. No. 80 'Veedhi - The Street' will be released on Thursday, July 20 through Mayuri Music, while the film is scheduled for a August 4 release. Produced by Ramoji Rao and directed by V. Dorairaj, the film stars Sharwanand and Gopika in lead roles. Composed by Anoop Rubens, the film has seven (five full and two bit) songs in all. It has cinematography by Bharani K. Dharan, editing by Baswa Paidireddy, art by Prakash and action by Ram-Lakshman.

Mallika-Parvati For Venu-Naresh

Mallika Kapoor (of 'Maha' fame) and Parvati Melton (of 'Vennela' fame) have been signed to play the female leads in Bajju Art Productions' maiden venture. To be produced by SK Basheed and directed by Muppalaneni Siva, the film will star Venu and Naresh in the lead. It will have dialogues by Marudhuri Raja, cinematography by Steadycam Prasad and music by Chakri. The film will be launched with a muhurat on August 14.

IlayarajaIlayaraja's Current Projects

Maestro Ilayaraja, who has scored music for more than 800 films, is currently working on three projects (one Telugu and two Bollywood).

The first project, produced by T. Satheesh Kumar under the banner of EAPT, stars Aryan Rajesh and newcomer Hamsa Nandini in the lead. Ilayaraja and director Vamsee, who have worked together in many films in the eighties and early nineties, are back together in this film. The unit is currently shooting in and around Rampachodavaram.

Besides Vamsee's film, Ilayaraja is also scoring music for the Amitabh Bachchan-Tabu starrer 'Cheeni Kum' and maverick filmmaker Ramgopal Varma's 'Siva,' starring RGV's current favorites Mohit Alawat and Nisha Kothari in the lead.

Venu-Anjali Starrer Title Changed

Writer-turned-director Kulasekhar's debut directorial venture, starring Venu (son of producer Mallidi Satyanarayana Reddy) and Anjali (of 'Photo' fame) in the lead was earlier titled 'Mahalakshmi Malli Vachchindhi' but it has now been changed to 'Premalekha Raasa' with the tagline that reads 'Neeku andhi untundhiga'. Produced under the banner of Sri Vijaya Durga Films, the film has music by Sriram Koushik and is slated for a August 2006 release.

Allari Naresh's Next Titled 'Gopi'

Just yesterday we had reported that noted writer Janardhana Maharshi is all set to direct his second cinematic venture that stars Allari Naresh, Aarti Chhabria and Gowri Munjal in the lead. We also informed you that it will feature Srikanth, Jagapathi Babu and Sneha in guest roles and will commence shooting from July 27.

The news is that the film has been titled Gopi (Goda Meedhi Pilli). To be jointly produced by Polisetti Rambabu and Valli Kesavarao under the banner of RS Films, it will have music by Koti and cinematography by V. Srinivasa Reddy.

It is also learnt that filmmaker G. Nageswara Reddy (of '6 Teens' and 'Girl Friend' fame) has signed Naresh to play the title role in his forthcoming film titled 'Seema Sastry'.

Kalyanram's Next Titled 'Lakshmi Kalyanam'

Director Teja's latest offing, starring Nandamuri Kalyanram in the lead, has been titled 'Lakshmi Kalyanam'. Newcomer Kajal and Suhasini (of 'Chantigadu' fame) are paired opposite Kalyanram. The unit of the film is currently shooting in and around Hyderabad. Produced by K. Chandra Sekhar (Jeethu) under the banner of Geeta Art Pictures, it has has dialogues by Paruchuri brothers, music by RP Patnaik, cinematography by AR Krishna, choreography by Shankar, action by Horseman Babu, art by Vivek and editing by Shankar.

TrishaTrisha Replaces Jyotika In AMAV

Someone's loss is someone else's gain! This holds true for Jyotika and Trisha. While Jyotika was initially signed to play the female lead in director Sri Raghava's forthcoming flick 'Adavari Matalaku Arthalu Verule,' starring 'Victory' Venkatesh in the lead, Trisha has stepped in Jyotika's shoes a few days ago. The principal shooting of the film will commence from July 20.

Janardhan Maharshi To Direct Naresh

Noted writer Janardhan Maharshi is all set to direct his second film (he has earlier directed 'Chengalva Poodanda'). Trustworthy sources inform us that it will star Allari Naresh, Aarti Chhabria and Gowri Munjal in lead roles. And what's more. 'Brahmastram' To Release On July 28

The release date of 'Brahmastram,' starring Jagapathibabu and Neha Oberoi, has been fixed. It will hit theaters on July 28 and will clash with Gangaraju Gunnam's 'Amma Cheppindhi'. Made under the banner of SP Creations, it is produced by Nukarapu Surya Prakasa Rao and directed by Suryakiran with music by the music director trio of Vaibhava (Balu, Vedant and Ananth).

ChiranjeeviStalin's Shooting In Progress In Hyderabad

The picturisation of megastar Chiranjeevi's latest film 'Stalin' is in progress in and around Hyderabad. On July 11, the film has been shot at Prasads Multiplex, NTR Gardens. Chiranjeevi, Trisha, Kushboo and Sarada paricipated in the shooting. Sarada plays Chiru's mother, while Kushboo plays Trisha's mother.

The unit of the film is currently shooting at a private house on Road No. 45, Jubilee Hills. Some scenes are being picturised on Chiru and Trisha. 'Stalin,' directed by Murugadoss and produced by Nagababu under the banner of Anjana Productions, has music by Mani Sharma. It is slated for a September 20 release.

Anil Krishna To Direct Tarun In His Next Film

Remember Anil Krishna? He is the same guy who directed the Kalyanram starrer 'Asadhyudu' earlier this year which sadly didn't run as expected at the box-office. It is now reliably learnt that a noted producer has signed the young director to direct his forthcoming project, which will star Tarun in the lead. Tarun has been maintaining a low profile since his last film 'Oka Oorilo'. Hope this film brings the much-needed success for both the actor and director.

N. Shankar Turns To Tamil

NTR'Ashok' To Release With 280 Prints

Well, the wait is over! The much-awaited, much-hyped and keenly-anticipated NTR-starrer Ashok, produced by Valluripalli Ramesh and directed by Surender Reddy, is all set to hit the screens on 13th July with close to 280 prints. The overseas prints (12 in number) have already been dispatched. The big question now is will Surender Reddy, who has already proved himself as a director with his first feature 'Athanokkade,' fall victim to 'second-film syndrome'?

The promos are already creating strong ripples and the music has been creating a buzz for quite sometime now while the rest depends on audience's reaction. Shriya's Cameo In Nagarjuna's 'Boss'

The unit of VN Aditya's 'Boss,' starring Nagarjuna, Nayanatara and Poonam Bajwa in lead roles, is currently shooting round the clock in Malaysia and will return on July 23. It is reliably learnt that Shriya has a guest role (a few scenes) in the film. She recently completed her portions of the film. Made under the banner of Kamakshi Movies, 'Boss' is produced by D. Siva Prasad Reddy with music by Kalyani Malik.

The music of 'Boss' will be released on August 29, while the film is scheduled for a September 27 release.

KulasekharKulasekhar Turns To Direction With 'Mahalakshmi Malli Vachchindhi'

Journalist-turned-lyricist-turned-dialogue writer Kulasekhar is now all set to don the director's hat. Producer Mallidi Satyanarayana Reddy, who earlier produced Bunny and Bhageeratha, has signed Kulasekhar to direct his forthcoming project, titled 'Mahalakshmi Malli Vachchindhi'. The film, to be produced under Anandam Academy, will mark the debut of Mallidi Satyanarayana Reddy's son Venu in films, while Anjali (of 'Photo' fame) will play the female lead.

Kulasekhar, who made his debut as a lyricist with Teja's 'Chitram,' turned into a dialogue writer with the Venkatesh-starrer 'Gharshana'. He has also penned the dialogues of this year's releases-Style and 10th Class.

Maithri Kala Mandir's Debut Film Titled 'Ganga'

Maithri Kala Mandir's debut production which stars national award winning actress Tara, Suman, Venugopal and Priyanka in lead roles has been titled 'Ganga'. The principal shooting of the film is complete and it is slated for release in late August 2006. The movie, produced by Shekhar Yelamanchi and directed by Vemu, has story-lyrics by Andesree, dialogues by Andesree & Sekhar Yelamanchi, music by Koti, cinematography by Ram Pinisetty, editing by Nagi Reddy and art by Babjee.

'Roommates' Music On July 13

The music of Visu Films Pvt. Ltd.'s 'Roommates,' directed by ace comedian AVS, will be released at a function to be held at Raavi Narayana Reddy auditorium, Banjara Hills, Hyderabad on Thursday, July 13 through Madhura Entertainment. Just last week, we had informed you that centurion Dr. D. Ramanaidu has signed VV Vinayak to direct his forthcoming project, which will star Gopichand in the lead. And what's more, Gopichand has a few other films in the pipeline.

It is reliably learnt that Bhargava Arts' S. Gopal Reddy, who is making a comeback of sorts, has signed the talented actor to play the lead character in his next film, to be directed by Paruchuri Murali. Paruchuri Murali and Gopichand have earlier worked together in 'Andhrudu'. The film did not do as well as expected at the box-office.

Other projects include producer Vijay Varma's next, to be directed by Shekkhar Suri (of 'A Film By Aravind' fame) and Pokuri Baburao's next. Sources inform us that Pokuri Baburao's project will introduce a new director to Tollywood.

Genelia's Birthday Coincides With 'Bommarillu' Release Date

While 'Victory' Venkatesh's much-delayed flick 'Adavari Matalaku Arthalu Verule,' directed by Sri Raghava and co-starring Jyotika, is all set to commence shooting from July 20, a host of other projects are in the pipeline. The buzz is that Venkatesh will be doing not one but four films.

It is reliably learnt that YVS Chowdary has approached Venkatesh for his next directorial venture, to be produced under his home concern Bommarillu. The rest of the films will be directed by other directors from Tollywood including Trivikram Srinivas, Yogi (of 'Oka Raju Oka Rani' fame) and Boyapati Srinivas (of 'Bhadra' fame), sources inform us.

Ram-Sravanthi Ravikishore Together

Noted producer Sravanthi Ravikishore has signed his nephew Ram to play the lead character in his next film, to be produced under the banner of Sri Sravanthi Movies.

Ram, who made a sensational debut in 'Devadasu,' is currently acting in Aditya Arts Prod. No. 1 (tentatively titled 'Anucharudu'), written-directed by Sukumar (of 'Aarya' fame) and produced by Adityababu with cinematography by Ratnavelu. It introduces two new faces as the leading ladies.

MS RajuMS Raju's Future Projects

The grapevine has it that ace producer MS Raju has signed Veera Shankar, who last directed the Pawan Kalyan-Meera Jasmine starrer 'Gudumba Shankar', to direct his next film, tentatively titled 'Veera'. Allu Arjun and Ileana are likely to be cast as the lead pair. Besides, he is also planning a film with Siddhartha titled 'Aata'. Both the films will commence in late 2006.

'Annavaram' To Commence Shooting In August

Pawan Kalyan's 'Annavaram,' starring Pawan Kalyan in the lead and directed by Bhimineni Srinivasa Rao, is all set to commence shooting in early August 2006. The film was launched with muhurat on December 15, 2005 at Annapurna Studios, Hyderabad. Sandhya (of 'Premiste' fame) will play Pawan Kalyan's sister, while Siva Balaji will play her husband. Song recording for the film is currently in progress under the baton of music composer Ramana Gogula.

Song Recording Of Sairam Shankar's Next

The song recording of Sri Sadguru Cinema's Prod. No. 1, starring Sairam Shankar in the lead, commenced on Friday, July 7 under the baton of music composer RP Patnaik. Director Srirama, producer Raghunath Sogi, Naresh, Siva Balaji, Puri Jagan and Bhimineni Srinivasa Rao were present on the occasion. The regular shooting will commence from July 17 and the film is slated for release in the last week of October 2006. KC Sekhar BabuNow, It Is The Turn Of 'Vipra Narayana'

The success of mythological films like Annamayya and Sri Ramadasu seems to have inspired the Tollywood filmmakers to make more such films. It is learnt that senior producer KC Sekhar Babu is planning to make a mythological film under his home concern Devi Kamal Movies titled 'Vipra Narayana'. JK Bharavi, who is currently in the US, will pen the script and dialogues for the project. Cast and other credits are under finalization.

PS Ramakrishna had earlier made a film with the same title many years ago featuring ANR and Bhanumathi.

Vamsee's Next Takes Off

The muhurat of veteran director Vamsee's next venture was performed in a low-key manner on Wednesday, June 5 at a private house in Sainikpuri, Hyderabad. Aryan Rajesh plays the male lead in the movie, while a new face Hamsa Nandini will make her debut as a female lead. This suspense thriller will be shot in three schedules in Rampachodavaram and Kerala.

'Devadasu' 175 Days Function On July 8

The 175 days function of YVS Chowdary's 'Devadasu,' starring new faces Ram and Ileana, will be held in a grand manner at 6 PM on Saturday, July 8 at Odeon 70mm, Hyderabad. The film completed 175 days at about 17 centers (10 direct centers and 7 shift centers) in Andhra Pradesh today. "It is a dream come true for me," said YVS Chowdary. Suresh Krishna Goes Bollywood

Suresh Krishna, who directed the recently released Vishnu-Anushka starrer 'Asthram,' is busy making a Bollywood film now. Jointly produced by Narendra Bajaj and Shyam Bajaj, the film stars Zayed Khan, Isha Sherwani (of 'Kisna' fame) and Minnisha Lamba in lead roles. Titled 'Rocky - The Rebel,' it has music by Himesh Reshammiya, lyrics by Sameer, cinematography by Raja, dialogues by Janak Hriday and editing by Sanjoy.

However this is not Suresh Krishna's first Bollywood film. He had earlier directed Love (Salman Khan, Revathi), Jagruti (Salman Khan, Karisma Kapoor) and the bilingual film Abhay (Kamal Hassan, Raveena, Manisha Koirala).

GopichandGopichand's Next Is Not Titled 'Sangarshana'

SSC Arts' next project was supposed to be titled 'Sangarshana' but there seems to be some problem. Stay tuned and we will reveal you the real title of the film very soon. Mega Supergood Films Pvt. Ltd.'s 'Andala Ramudu,' starring ace comedian Suneel and Aarti Agarwal in lead roles, is complete and is slated for a August release. Three songs were picturised in Kerala in locations like Chalakudy, Polachi and Vaguman. Jointly produced by Paras Jain and NV Prasad, the film is presented by RB Chowdary and directed by debutante P. Lakshmi Narayana (Deepti) with music by SA Rajkumar, a regular with Supergood Films.
