Pandanti Kapuram: The Biggest Hit Of 1972

Released on July 21, 1972, Superstar Krishna's Pandanti Kapuram was the biggest hit of the year. It is also the first film of Krishna to celebrate a silver jubilee run at the box-office. Alluri Seetarama Raju (1974) and Mundadugu (1983) were his other films that ran for 175 days.
Made under the banner of Jayapradha Pictures, Pandanti Kapuram was produced by G. Hanumantha Rao, presented by Krishna himself and directed by P. Lakshmi Deepak. The Poorna Pictures Private Limited, headed by Managing Director G. Kamaraju, distributed the film and reaped rich benifits.
