Paritala Ravi's Life As The Movie Mahanandi?
 The talk that the TDP leader, late Paritala Ravi's life is going to hit the silver screen as 'Mahanandi' has been doing the rounds for quite sometime now. None of the producers have either confirmed or denied it – perhaps for fear that advance information might rob the movie of its suspense and interest.
"Who told you so? If there had been any such a move, you would have certainly heard about it from us," countered director Samudra when questioned about it.
Acclaimed as the rebel hero, Srihari is said to be donning the role of Ravi, while Sumanth is doing a 'mass role' as Ravi's bodyguard, with Anushka teaming opposite him as the heroine. The talk is going on that the movie 'Mahanandi' is going to be very true to the life of the late Paritala Ravi, with the incorporation in it of all the social service activities of the leader and more importantly the way he was murdered.
The producers and director are said to be sparing no effort to make the murder sequence very effective. The incident of the murder, it is reliably learnt, has been shot in Ramoji Film City, with a troop of as many as a hundred and fifty stuntmen participating in it. While how far this is true is another matter, the shots taken earlier from a helicopter has people full of praise and awe. It seems that shooting was interrupted for sometime because Srihari acting without a dupe in the fight scenes had sustained injuries.
 Noncontroversial Sequences Producer turned political leader Paritala Ravi had earlier made the movie, 'Sri Ramulaiah' with the express purpose of projecting the ideals and aspirations of his father. While Mohan Babu acted in the movie as Paritala Ravi's father, Srihari acted as the villain. It is therefore interesting and strange that Srihari is taking on the role of Paritiala Ravi in 'Mahanandi'. This is really a paradox. One might remember how on the day of the muhurat of 'Sri Ramulaiah', a bomb blast claimed a number of lives. The man behind it Maddula Surya Narayana Reddy is serving a life term in prison. Further, it is widely believed that he masterminded the murder of Paritala Ravi.
Against this background, it would be interesting to think whether all these incidents are going to find a place in the movie, 'Mahanandi'.
Anti-Congress Content Responsible? Has the news of the movie been kept a closely guarded secret because of the fear that the Congress government in power might obstruct the making of the movie? There might be the fear of problems from the censors too. No surprise even if the movie might never see the light of the day, because of all these factors. The movie is believed to project most Rayalaseema Congress leaders as villains. We have only to wait and see what kind of sensation and response the movie is going to evoke once it is released. The audio cassettes are gong to be released in the course of this week. The movie is likely to be released in the second week of November.
