May 30, 2007
NTR's Kondaveeti Simham, released in the year 1981, created history in Guntur town by becoming the first film to celebrate 100 days in six centres with three shows daily.
His actor-son Nandamuri Balakrishna rewrote that record when his home-production Peddannayya, released on January 10th, 1997, went on to complete 100 days in the same six centres, but with four shows daily.
The details are as follows:

Peddannaya was also the first film to run for 50 days in two centres in Ananthapur-Ramesh and Neelam.
It ran for 119 days at Krishna Mahal in Guntur and grossed about Rs. 21,70,396.
Prior to this film, NBK had four releases-Bhairava Dweepam, Bobbili Simham, Maatho Pettukoku and Vamsanikokkadu-at Sujatha A/C theatre in Pulivendula. While three of them completed 50 days, Maatho Pettukoku and Peddannayya celebrated a century at the cinema hall.
