Banner: Bajju Art Productions. Release Date: 10th August, 2007.  Allare Allari is a full-fledged comedy, set against the Rayalaseema faction backdrop. Venu, Naresh and the rest of the comedy gang work together to make it a pacy, comical treat. This won't come under evergreen comedies, but it is a fun flick. It never drags and it is good for some light entertainment.Plot Anand and Priya are cousins who are destined to get married courtesy Anand's aunt Pulicherla Ramulamma. She murders her husband's murderers and goes to jail. Meanwhile Anand grows up to be a doctor. In an attempt to do good, he stops a wedding where the groom cheats another girl, while the bride falls in love with him. He also loves her but cannot marry her because he is terrorized by his aunt who gets released from the jail after more than a decade. In a stroke of inspiration and situation, he makes Veerababu, their flats' watchman act as Anand and he becomes his assistant. Comedy follows the confusion. Story, Screenplay and Direction The attempt is to take a serious subject like factionism and give it a light-hearted feel. The first half moves quickly, establishing the setting and getting to know the characters. The second half is full of the confusion created by Anand, the terror of being found out and some romance. There is very little sentiment thankfully, but it does show it's face in the climax for some fleeting moments. The character portraits of several of the crew are done well. It's full of punch lines and spunky retorts, one-liners and comical situations. Two things work for the movie on the whole. One thing is the comedy created by the situation and the other is the comedy creation by conversation. Of course, the former dominates the latter. The editing is jerky and the direction could have been classier. But then, it is mass mania all the way with some double-meaning dialogues inserted for good measure. The comedy by Paidiraju (Raghubabu) is good. Veerababu and his interaction with inspector Puliraju (Jeeva) is humorous. Ali and Pothu (MS Narayana) also chip in to provide the laughs. The confusion in the second half by Anand and Veerababu and their terror of Anand's aunt creates all the comedy.  Performances Naresh and Venu suit their roles and make a good attempt at making people laugh. Shakuntala is loud as usual, but it in accordance with her character. Parvati Melton is adequate, but her lips don't sync with her dubbing in the first half. Mallika Kapoor in a short and sweet role is okay. The entire comedic crew do a good job including MS Narayana, Ali and Raghubabu.Music and Dance Chakri's music is forgettable, and songs pop up suddenly. Overall the music is very average. Last Word It's not a memorable movie that will make us laugh each time. But for a one-time view, it is a light and pacy entertainer. Total time-pass. |
