Sneha Aa Naluguru director Chandra Siddhartha is back, this time with a love story. Aa Naluguru had a strong script, written by Madan who later went on to direct the recent hit Pellaina Kothalo. This love story stars Sumanth, Sneha and Parvati Melton. The characters are stereotyped, the performances are average, the dubbing and editing is bad and the twists are predictable. The saving grace might be the little humor inserted in it and songs which are not harsh on the ear. This basically sums up the entire movie, which is nothing out of the ordinary, considering it comes from a director who displayed some novelty in his debut.

Plot Sanjay (Sumanth) likes to help people in need, but is aloof and does not believe in love. Opposite to him is Hamsa (Sneha), who falls in love with him and asks him to marry her. He gives her the nod, but asserts that he does not love her. Sanjay's friend Maya (Parvati Melton) is a commitment-phoebe 'who smokes, drinks, gets repeated abortions' (urbane stereotype). So after the break, everyone's views on love and marriage change, meaning Hamsa loses faith, Sanjay gains it and so does Maya. How and why is what the movie is about, with a supposedly surprising climax that we'd have guessed 30 minutes into the flick.

Story, Screenplay and Direction The main theme-about belief in love, is oft-repeated. Nothing new there. Secondly, except for a few humorous scenes and dialogues in the movie, the screenplay drags on a bit. The direction is amateurish, which is totally unexpected. The screenplay is again, predictable. The worst is the dubbing and editing, with MS Narayana's tiny role left un-dubbed, and some of the dialogues of the previous scenes are heard in the next one!

The art work is adequate, and the cinematography too. The sentimental twist in the end with Sumanth and his uncle's daughter Manga (Seema) is reminiscent of a similar track in the recent Rakhee.

Naresh as Sumanth's uncle, a child artiste as Sumanth's cousin and Siva Reddy's mimicry are comic. Venu Madhav-AVS track has been seen before.

SumanthPerformances Sumanth, who showed growth as an actor in Godavari, again seems to have gone back to the pavilion. He is inconsistent, and his role has not been developed properly in the first half-why is he so aloof, then immediately helpful. Parvati Melton's role is again extremely stereotyped, and her performance is average. Sneha gives her usual 'goody two shoes' attitude and has done this in most of her previous movies. Naresh as Sumanth's uncle is good.

Music The picturizations of the songs are average, and two songs are hummable.

Last Word The movie falls below expectations. There are some good things in the movie, like a few witty dialogues and some humorous incidents. But this is not enough, since overall the movie is nothing exceptional.
