Siva and Kasi are two different persons. One is happy to see Jagapathibabu on the screen quite after some time. He plays the role of Siva. He is introduced on the screen as 'gentleman actor', while Arjun is named as 'action king'. After watching the movie, you would feel that the gentleman actor got the better deal of the screenplay and records more gory deaths than Arjun. The Telugu film industry appears to have drifted from youth love stories to brutal drama these days, in the name of action flicks. Jagapathibabu and Arjun play the title roles of Siva and Kasi.
The film opens with an introduction of the roles of two brothers Ravibhai and Manibhai, who become rivals over a family dispute. Each man wants the other man's throat. At the same time two prisoners serving term in Rajahmundry jail are released. They are Siva (Jagapathi) and Kasi (Arjun). Each one of them settles down in the camp of each of these brothers as their hit men. As this kind of tit for tat game is going on, we also watch in parallel love affairs of the Siva and Kasi with two girls – Meena (Gajala) and Anjali (Vedika) respectively. Siva marries Meena with a condition that she should look after his younger brother Raghu, like a mother. But Kasi's love for Anjali does not proceed beyond love duets.
The two pairs meet in a hotel for the first time. After the girls leave the place, Siva and Kasi face each other for the first time and recognize that they were the co-prisoners in Rajahmundry jail. Yet they agree to disagree on every issue pertaining to their bosses. On knowing the plan of Ravibhai to emplane his customer businessman (Parthasarathi) without the knowledge of his rivals (as they wanted to kill him), Siva stops the plane by telephoning the airport authorities that a few bombs are planted outside and in the plane. As the panic stricken travelers come out, Siva corners the businessman and shoots him dead. In another scene they pick up each other's cell phone in confusion caused by a police shootout. This leads to receiving other man's messages about a shipment of smuggled arms, to be stored. Kasi busts the plan and informs police about the hideout, where they are stored.
As this kind of tit for tat is going on Kasi picks up a quarrel with Ravibhai's son. He threatens the young man with dire consequences. This irritates Ravi and he asks him to leave his service. Meanwhile the other brother Mani too has a dispute with Siva. Siva meets Kasi and requests him to look after his brother Raghu, as he is going underground to escape from the police. The latter accepts. And situations are so built that Ravibhai's men kill Kasi's sweetheart Anjali, while Manibhai's men murder Raghu. Thus a situation arises when Siva and Kasi decide to join hands to eliminate their former bosses for their own reasons. And the brothers too join hands to save themselves from the wrath of Siva and Kasi. The rest shows how the two finally get rid of both of them.
The film is thus filled with gory murders. It becomes impossible for audience to stand the blood bath. Arjun these days is figuring in such themes, even when he is directing the movies himself. He finds playing such roles of mass appeal as an easy way to stay in the limelight. The cast is filled with plenty of Tamil artistes, some of whom are figuring in Telugu movies too. Sunil gets the role of a friend of Jagapathibabu. There are some lighter vein scenes featuring him. Gajala too appears on the Telugu screen after a long gap. Vedika is relatively a new face and she looks cute. Action drama means plenty of characters, only bad and ugly. This film too is no different. Music score is palatable. The film is a testing ground of skills for the cinematographer and editor of the film. They could manage well.
