Lava-Kusa (March 29, 1963)
The first movie to collect a crore, this blockbuster took its time in hitting the silver screen. This NTR-Anjali Devi starrer ran 100 days at all its 26 centers and completed a silver jubilee at half of those centers! At several centers, this was the first movie to run for 100 days, and the record that Lava-Kusa set broke after a full decade. If Time-Space barriers are to be taken into account, Lava-Kusa is amongst the most prominent blockbusters of Telugu cinema.
