Nagarjuna
The suave and classy Nag, as his friends call him, was born Nagarjuna Rao in Chennai in '59 to the king of romance, Akkineni Nageswara Rao. After finishing his post-grad in the US, he came back and started training to be an actor. He debuted in Vikram in '86, a remake of Hero. A few flops later, Akhari Poratam with Sridevi and Suhasini was a big hit, followed by Geetanjali and then the trendsetting Shiva. And the rest is history. From classy roles in family flicks to the mass mania he generates in a style all his own, Nag even did period movies and dabbled in Hindi cinema. A screen-life well led, and still going strong. Hits and flops happen to be a part of the game.
