After consecutive duds (films featuring his sons Manchu Manoj Kumar and Vishnu) at the box-office except for Bindaas which got good openings, Mohan Babu is supposedly pondering at working in a film in which he is the solo hero. He is heard to have been listening to scripts that will present him in a different light altogether. Working as a character artiste with an extraordinary role etched out for him is also not ruled out. Mohan Babu has tasted some success as a character artiste in flicks like Yama Donga and Bujjigadu. His last film as a solo hero was Political Rowdy.
