First things first if you want to watch Yendhuke Ravanamma on screen, don't go expecting something spectacular, you'd rather stay at home and listen to the audio. Puri Jagan also needs to wait for a while as his efforts to see his brother as a fulsome hero doesn't materialize in Bumper Offer. Infact Bumper Offer has nothing new to offer. Sairam Shankar did look new with his curls but that's about it. His squeaky voice dominates his performance as usual and this time his make-up is terrible. You could clearly see his painted face till the neck.
Since this is the time for comedies and people are asking for entertainment Bumper Offer concentrates on a light story. But the flaw is that the jokes aren't new or the story isn't either. People are so used to a seeing 'stars' setting or teaching a haughty heroine or her father a lesson right since the black and white movie days, so repeating the same line with lesser-known actors will take time to create an interest unless there is something clearly distinct in terms of entertainment. The Magadheera spoof doesn't quite gel as Ali had done this act many times, actually it's getting repulsive.
Bindu Madhavi apna telugu girl showed the attitude and spunk required for the character, she did a good job and suited the role to the T. If she loses some more weight and polishes her act, she will look far more appealing on screen. Great beginning as a glamourous character. Kovai Sarala as usual does the screaming and ranting.
Bumper Offer is thankfully short but even then gets on your nerves, the story might work for the B and C crowds. It is the story of a mechanic who falls for a hot-headed lady and challenges her father that he'd bring him down to his level.
The climax and the pre-climax looks artificial…the story hurried especially the way he pulls Sayaji Shinde down..wish the director could have spent some time thinking something novel atleast here.
The story neither gives you a kick or entertains you, you keep watching it poker faced and glad that the curtains are down. Bumper Offer is another film by a director who is testing his luck and another film by Sairam Shankar who is running out of ideas and is another film for you and me who choose to waste precious money on such crap in times of recession.
The film is not funny and ends as expected. if you have nothing better to do..watch Aata or some kids finale on Zee.
