Just to unite a pair of lovers, Ganesh (Ram) has to feign love to Divya (Kajal). But to even do that or reach her, he has to come up with a series of dramas and antics to please the numerous kids living in the apartment where Divya too stays. He secures a flat adjacent to Divya's and works hard at getting her attention. When she really does fall in love, it takes a minute for her to realise that Ganesh has been fooling her and she distances herself from him. The rest of the story is about how Divya plays hard to get and Ganesh tries his best to convince her that he really, indeed has fallen in love.
Director Saravanan uses the children to inject comic situations but he allows the children to dominate the story most of the time and ends up looking like a farce. Imagine kids dressing up like adults and knocking the doors of a neighbour to negotiate or talk about alliances, all you want to do is whack them. Too much kid stuff shows the director's desperation, the comic premise betrays more of a concern for quick box-office bucks than any desire for comic invention. Also Ashish Vidyarthi's presence looks pointless, it appears as if he has been created just to show Ganesh's machoism.
Brahmanandam tearing of his assistant's clothes to give Ganesh a warning is funny but it lasts less than a minute. If you are wondering why the filmmakers couldn't find an apt title for the film, don't get impatient, stay tuned till the Manmohan Desai like climax hits you like a bolt.
Ashish Vidyarthi and his men are roughing up the old and the young, the children too and its all mayhem as Ganesh walks away after making his point clear. Two kids fall at Lord Ganesh's idols and seek help. Before their cheeks turn moist Ganesh..Just Ganesh lands there and gets into action. You don't even know whom's he hitting and whom's he saving until all's well that ends well.
Howmuch ever senseless, silly and insufferable the romance is, Kajal makes it look real when she tells Ganesh how she would like to give him her first kiss. Ram pales in comparison despite his superman act and his multi-tasking - trying to help his friends, fight Ashish Vidyarthi, doing damage and undoing it for love sake. In the process he becomes Just Another Ganesh.
Saravanan is clearly suffering from the Anjali hangover. Kajal's costumes are distinct. The songs, technical aspects are all just okay, nothing great. If kids want to watch the film, take them but only if they want to.
