Let's do away with the story or the synopsis as almost every movie lover must have watched 3 Idiots. It is very clear that other than Ileana there is no other person common to us as an actor in Snehitudu, the story has been made with the Tamil audiences in mind and it has been scripted rather faithfully to suit their likes.
Why is it that we aren't enthused or keep our focus intact on the screen when Vijay makes his majestic entry? Leave Vijay, it is the case with the rest of the two heroes [Jiiva and Sriram] too..not that the writing is flawed, the characters don't make you laugh or cry and you watch it with a degree of indifference.
The most important scene is the comedian's speech that made one fall off from the seat but here..it is a plain yawn! Ditto with the drunken scene on the terrace.
If you have watched the original, this one will test your patience, the dubbed version i.e., the Telugu will sound like Tamil, the faces are Tamil anyway. The college principal is a pain and the climax scene is a suction device that will yank out all the energy of the audience.
No melody or music but there is one that is a tribute to Ileana's belly and figure. She does a good job of the sozzled scene but again..in the final moments she doesn't live up to the expressions demanded by the script. There isn't much to write or discuss either, the magic and the sensitivity is lost and the pace drags. Terrible, disappointing!
