Actor Rajashekar has been telling the media during the film promotion that the title Naa Style Veru has no connection to the film. True, throughout the film there is not one situation where one can point out and say that the hero's style is different. Director Ramprasad churns out a clichéd story, infact this is a remake of the Mohanlal movie Hello. Even the names of the characters have been retained.
Parvati (Bhumika), a rich girl escapes from her family who is plotting to kill her. While she is on the run, she is kidnapped and gagged in a house. Parvati manages to call a stranger Sivaram (Rajashekar) on the phone and seeks help to be freed.
Lawyer Sivaram has another story. He hits the bottle and is always found in an inebriated state, he wants to forget his worries. He holds his parents, his family responsible for his lover Divya's death and is forever ridiculing them. Sivaram's parents take a liking for Parvati and asks him to wed her. Parvati goes missing again and this time Parvati's father is made to believe that it is Sivaram who did it for money. The rest of the story is about finding who the culprit is.
While the first half of the film just passes off, post interval is tiring and the climax is long drawn and unbearable. Rajashekar wears a smile even in poignant moments and rest of the supporting actors do a lackluster job. Bhumika who has done better work in films like Anasuya is wasted. Any heroine who is capable of smiling a bit and showing some anxiety could have suited the role.
Brahmanandam fails to enthuse and the dialogues are amateurish. The film has not one element that holds interest and even the strange yellow car that Rajashekar drives serves no purpose. One can easily give the film a miss, a terrible waste of time and money.
